About Us

Top of the Slope has catered to skiers and snowboarders for almost 50 years.

The shop was opened by Michael Miscavage’s father, Edward, in 1972 and Mike took it over in the late 1980s. The reason for its longevity, Miscavage said, is attributable to a simple business philosophy.

“We’re good guys, we’re local, honest and we don’t price gouge.”

Snow and cold weather drives business at Top of the Slope, which caters to skiers, snowboarders and outdoor enthusiasts. The business also focuses on the summer outdoor enthusiast and stocks sleeping bags, tents, hiking boots and rock climbing equipment – a facet Miscavage said is becoming increasingly popular.

No matter what trend develops or how many changes take place, Top of the Slope is prepared to cater to the ever-evolving interests of its customers.

“We’ve been here a long time and it’s about sticking to what you know and what we’ve been doing for customers.”

The 2020 and 2021 ski and snowboard season is all about feeling good in the outdoors.  Ski mountains are gearing up for a safe season for everyone.  Those who have not skied in years, are showing up, buying gear and ready to navigate the slopes!
